This Relais & Châteaux, recently opened, is less than 300 m from the Château de Chantilly entrance. Some rooms even have a view on the castle gardens. It is the perfect hotel for a romantic week end. The hotel features a superb Valmont spa where it is possible to get wrapped in Chantilly cream and a 2 star restaurant, La Table du Connétable, which is undoubtedly one of the best tables in the North of Paris. L’Auberge du Jeu de Paume sets the bar very high for the luxury and the quality of service offered to its customers. We love the cozy decor of the rooms while having all the modern comforts that one can expect from a hotel of this level.

For the budget, it costs about 300 € for a night with the breakfast.

The Tiara Mont Royal

Another 5 star hotel in the Chantilly area, the Tiara Château Hôtel Mont Royal distinguishes itself by its setting. Nestled in the heart of the forest, it offers a complete change of scenery and the opportunity to live la vie de château during a weekend. The decoration of the castle is really authentic but still very warm. Some rooms have a terrace with panoramic views over the forest surrounding the hotel. We appreciate strolling and cycling in the park of the castle but also swimming in the heated indoor pool. For the catering, the generous brunch and the tasting menu of L’Opéra restaurant are to be discovered.

For the rate, one night with the breakfast costs 250 €.

The Dolce Chantilly

Located at the north of Paris, 5 minutes from the Château de Chantilly, the Dolce Chantilly is a true resort. This hotel is widely used for seminars. Indeed, besides its location less than 20 minutes from Roissy Airport, its large capacity allows to meet a lot of needs. It is also a very nice hotel for a weekend with family with many activities available on site : golf, tennis, beach volley, cycling, indoor and outdoor pool.

For the prices, one night with the breakfast is around 130 €.

The Trianon Palace

The Trianon Palace is located along the gardens of the Versailles Palace, in the West of Paris. The hotel is managed by Hilton under the Waldorf Astoria brand. It offers two atmospheres with two buildings, the Pavillon and the Palace. The rooms in the Palace part are more expensive but larger, some with pleasant views over the park of Versailles. The Trianon Palace features a Guerlain spa with large indoor pool. Guests can enjoy starred cuisine designed by the famous Chef Gordon Ramsay at the two star restaurant of the hotel.

It will cost you 200 € for a night with the breakfast.

Other hotel west of Paris, Les Etangs de Corot are a 4 star hotel located in Ville d’Avray, 20 minutes away from the porte de Saint Cloud. The hotel belongs to the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. It offers a bucolic environment with a nice garden and the ponds in the background. A Caudalie spa with a large jacuzzi is available in the hotel. Guests can eat at one of the 3 restaurants available in the hotel including one starred, Le Corot.

One night with the breakfast costs around 150 €.

Which hotel has the best restaurant?

The best table, from our point of view, is undoubtedly La Table du Connétable at the Auberge du Jeu de Paume. The menu is in line with the two star while keeping more affordable prices than what you could usually find in Paris for restaurants of that level.

The Trianon Palace also has a two star restaurant but we didn’t have the opportunity to try it. However, the Véranda, the other Trianon Palace restaurant, offers a very good value for money.

The Tiara Mont Royal is our other favorite for the catering. The hall of L’Opéra restaurant is really beautiful, offering a majestic setting while offering some privacy with a limited number of tables. It is an ideal place for a romantic dinner in a castle. In addition, the Sunday brunch of the Tiara is very generous, highly recommended.

Dolce Chantilly offers several options. We have been several times to the Véranda with its buffet. It’s a little less upscale than the other restaurants highlighted in this article but it is also much cheaper. Nevertheless, the quality remains quite good, especially for the dessert buffet. So this is also a pleasant restaurant with a nice view over the golf course. The Donatello, the other restaurant of the Dolce Chantilly, has a nice menu with an excellent price for quality ratio.

Les Etangs de Corot certainly has the most diverse offering with 3 restaurants. All have their own menu and environment. Le Corot, a 1 star restaurant, allows guests to enjoy a gastronomic cuisine in a chic setting while Les Paillotes and Le Café des Artistes are perfect to enjoy an outdoor meal during summer.

What about diving into the most beautiful hotel pool around Paris?

The pool is often a selection criterion for us. This surely makes us think about the holidays. And it must be said that in Paris, the public swimming pools aren’t really pleasant, usually poorly heated, without any decoration and overcrowded. A hotel swimming pool, this is the opportunity to relax in an exclusive setting with a refined decoration. We don’t go just for laps but also to relax.

The most beautiful swimming pool, according to us, is the one of Tiara Mont Royal. With its large curtains and black chandeliers, it offers a unique setting. The pool of the Auberge du Jeu de Paume is very pretty with a Moorish inspired decor but it is not very large.

The Trianon Palace’s swimming pool is the largest of our selection. The indoor pool benefits from a generous daylight thanks to large openings. The Dolce Chantilly is the only one to offer an outdoor pool and an indoor pool.

Les Etangs de Corot only have a large jacuzzi so it isn’t really a swimming pool but enough to relax with a view over the garden.

During summer, when the sun is shining, these pools are often quite crowded during the weekend. So remember to book for Friday night or Sunday night. Indeed, there are fewer people on Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon than on Saturday.

And for the setting, what can we expect from a hotel close to Paris

The decoration of the Auberge du Jeu de Paume, the Trianon Palace and the Tiara Mont Royal are very traditional but also very luxurious. The decoration of the Dolce Chantilly is more contemporary and modern, set around the equestrian theme which is quite specific to Chantilly. Les Etangs de Corot decoration is also quite modern.

For the environment, the Trianon Palace, the Tiara Mont Royal and the Dolce Chantilly offer large gardens. For the Tiara Mont Royal and the Dolce Chantilly, we can even speak of forests where you can walk around the hotel. The Auberge du Jeu de Paume hotel is located in the middle of town but offers a beautiful view of the Chantilly castle gardens that are also accessible within walking distance. Les Etangs de Corot have a garden and also a direct access to the ponds where it is enjoyable to take a walk in the shade of the trees.

So those looking for a change of scenery in a green setting, opt for the Tiara Mont Royal or the Dolce Chantilly. Those who wish to live the castle life for a weekend near Paris will go to the Auberge du Jeu de Paume or the Tiara Mont Royal.

Les Etangs de Corot require a budget similar to the Dolce Chantilly and are perfect for a romantic getaway next to Paris. The Trianon Palace in Versailles requires a slightly higher budget, but is also well suited for families with its large pool and the nearby Parc du Château de Versailles.
