During our stay at the Auberge du Jeu de Paume in Chantilly (France), we wanted to extend this delight by trying the hotel Valmont Spa and especially the “Thousand and one Chantilly” treatment, a name suggesting delight and delicacy.

Valmont is a famous brand from Switzerland focused on anti-aging skin care and skin regeneration treatments. The brand belongs to the exclusive circle of Swiss famous brands renowned for their know how and their cutting edge technology. The Valmont clinic was the first to be fully dedicated to wellness and health.

The Valmont Spa includes several areas for the guests :

• 5 treatment cabins, including one duo
• heated indoor swimming pool with bubble bath
• fitness room
• separated hammams for women and men
• separated saunas for women and men
• Valmont spa boutique where Valmont products can be bought

To reach the swimming pool, women and men have their own dedicated area. These are the cloakrooms where sauna, hammam and showers are available. The cloakroom is large and well designed. Special care has been put to the design and furniture. Each area has been specifically set, including the hammam and sauna that are very nice. Relais & Châteaux shower products are available as well as towels.

The pool

The swimming pool area with the Moorish decoration is the first step into the Spa Valmont journey. There is a bar next to the pool where you can drink a complimentary tea or fresh fruit juice and eat dried fruits. Deck chairs are particularly comfortable and you will enjoy relaxing there for a while before or after your treatment. Small tables are available to put your tea.

Our experience of the Valmont Spa in the Auberge du Jeu de Paume

We have tried the signature treatment : “Thousand and one Chantilly”. Having a treatment around the Chantilly is probably a unique opportunity that you can’t really face anywhere else than in Chantilly.

Decoration in the duo room

As we wanted to share the experience together, the treatment took place in a duo room. The atmosphere was peaceful with a nice background musical theme. The decoration is an invitation to travel.

The treatment started with an exfoliating body scrub to prepare the skin. Then we enjoyed a relaxing massage. To complete this journey, we have been enveloped in a Chantilly cream body mask prepared by the Pastry Chef. After that, we had a small cake with a tea to finalize this sweet experience.

We were curious about the Chantilly envelopment. At the beginning, when it is applied, it feels a bit cold. But then temperature is regulated and in the end, the skin is really soft. What we liked most about this signature treatment is the relaxation feeling you get out of it, the direct skin effect and the opportunity to enjoy it together.
