Arrival at the hotel
The Monte-Carlo Beach is located in Roquebrune Cap Martin in front of the bay of Monaco. It is only 5 minutes driving distance from the Place du Casino in Monte Carlo and 45 minutes from Nice Airport.
When you arrive at the hotel, you cross a first parking dedicated to the sea lounge, beach and pool customers. Then you arrive to the parking dedicated to the guests of the hotel. A valet is available to take care of your car.
The red colors of the hotel facade perfectly integrate into the green setting around it.
When you enter inside the Monte-Carlo Beach, you’ll find all the refinement of a boutique hotel blended with the Relais & Chateaux touch. The hotel decoration includes white and blue tones that give an overall feeling of lightness and softness like the rounded shape of the walls. It soberly echoes to the 1920’s style. A delicate perfume of holidays floats in the air : both in the literal and figurative senses.
All the Monte-Carlo Beach philosophy is set around the respect of environment, the use of organic products and the optimization of carbon footprint.
We were welcomed by the lobby staff and our check-in was smooth. Less than 5 minutes after that, we were in our room with an outstanding view over the sea and Monaco.
The room
Our Exclusive room is located on the 1st floor. The hotel has 2 floors in addition to the lobby floor where some rooms are also present. All the rooms offer a nice sea view.
At the image of the entire hotel, the exclusive room breathes elegance and refined simplicity. A long corridor first deserves the dressing on the right and the bathroom, to end on the room with its corner sofa and the large bed.
All the room is opening on a balcony facing the sea and Monaco. There is a table on the balcony thus allowing you to rest or have a dinner while enjoying the view.
How fabulous it is to only ear the sound of waves from the morning to the evening.
The room size is around 30 sqm (323 sqft). This was enough as we spent most of our time outside of the room enjoying all the hotel services.
The bathroom is an ingenious prowess of beauty. It is dressed up with luminous white marble. A luxurious stylized slide door separates it from the rest of the room. The sea view invites itself in through the wide rounded window in the walk-in rain shower. Orchids and Art Deco touches enhance the elegant effect.
Connoisseurs will enjoy the La Prairie products available in the bathroom. The Monte-Carlo Beach spa is also using La Prairie products and protocols. La Prairie is a luxury cosmetic brand from Switzerland.
In the room, you will also find all the comfort you need to perfect your stay : a Malongo coffee and tea machine, a TV set with VOD and an Internet system.
Catering
When time comes to lunch and dinner, you have a lot of options in Monaco and around. We had the opportunity to enjoy the Sunday organic market buffet of the Monte-Carlo Beach. This is a kind of brunch where all the products are organic and carefully selected from local producers. It is delivered at Le Deck, the restaurant next to the Olympic pool. My overall impression around it is that there was both the quality and the quantity there. Several things I especially enjoyed : the beef rib, the selection of fishes, the assortment of vegetables and the selection of pastries. Everything is cooked in front of you so you are sure that it is really fresh!
We also enjoyed a room service in the privacy of our balcony. The table was dressed as in a refined restaurant with a white tablecloth. We had a tartar and a club sandwich. Both were excellent. Then the Tatin pie with the vanilla cream was one of the best I ever had, really sweet. It was really nice to have a dinner on the balcony while looking at the yachts on the sea and Monaco city lights. What a romantic evening!
The breakfast is another highlight of the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel.
It is presented as a buffet that only includes organic products : cold cut, eggs, Viennese pastries, homemade cakes, tarts, yogurts, juices, teas and jams. Everything is prepared with the highest care of quality and reveals delightful savors. To enhance this delightful moment, tasty teas and coffees are served in fine porcelain tableware from the prestigious Villeroy & Boch house.
We enjoyed our breakfast outdoor on the rounded terrace with the direct view over the sea “at our feet”. Perfect start of the day!
All the products we have tasted during the brunch or the breakfast were organic products. The result is nice, you can feel the natural taste of the products and then you aren’t in a bad mood at the end even if you have eaten a lot.
There is an outdoor sea lounge opened during summer where people can party and have a drink with a view over the sea.
Activities
The Monte-Carlo Beach is also famous for its Olympic pool with sea water. It is really nice and never really crowded so you can easily swim without being disturbed. It is heated so the temperature was ok. There is a jump board for those who want to practice diving. Tried it, it was fun.
A lot of deck chairs are arranged around it where you can relax. The staff will prepare them for you with the smile (Laurent is really friendly!). We spent a lot of time around the pool, it is a unique area.
Beside the pool, you can also swim in the sea. The temperature was fine in September. There are a lot of deck chairs as well around the sea.
Several water sports are also available (with a fee) : jet ski, wake board, water skiing, etc…
Conclusion
We had a really pleasant stay at the Monte-Carlo Beach. We felt really privileged in this hotel. While the hotel is small, nothing is discounted. It is really pure luxury and exclusivity. The staff is friendly and professional. They will make everything they can to make you happy.
Then, the location is perfect. Enjoying beach holidays while being next to Monaco opens up a lot of possibilities. One is to go to the Monte-Carlo Casino. Even if you don’t like gambling, you’ll love the refinement of the place. It must be seen.
Staying at the Monte-Carlo Beach is perfect if you want to practice sports while keeping high level of refinement and luxury in the accommodation and the catering.
