Arrival at the hotel
Staying at the Mandarin Oriental is a pure enchantment. It is located in the heart of the Strip of Las Vegas. This hotel doesn’t include any casino. Those kinds of details offer you the energy show of the famous boulevard without its rowdiness.
While crossing its doors, the tone is set. The Mandarin Oriental signature is present at its best, all in modernity and luxury of materials from the floating fragrance to the silent atmosphere. In a dark marble setting, the oriental touches are enhanced in this modern haven of peace.
- The impressive lower lobby ceiling
- A cozy and luxurious area
The guests arrive first through the lower lobby to reach the upper at the twenty-third floor. Sounds and textures are felted in an Asian mood. Lifts are incredibly smooth and open on an impressive gold wall. The front desk dominates the Strip where the Eiffel Tower of the Paris Hotel could be clearly admired. During the very smooth check in, refreshing Japanese towels and tea were offered.
The Dynasty Suite
For security and privacy reasons, customers have to use their magnetic keys on other lifts to reach their room. Corridors are as felted as the rest of the property. Our Suite was located at the twenty-second floor. Reaching the entrance, the first surprise is the cozy atmosphere with wood tones. And the second was the path of fresh rose petals leading to the bed where a heart was drawn and then ending in the bath tub. For a Birthday celebration, such a delicate attention reveals what the highest level service is!
All imagined in the finest taste, the Mandarin Oriental Dynasty Suite provides a living room with a gorgeous marble and wood bar, a dining room, a closed kitchen with butler entrance, a large dressing, a desk area and a powder room for guests. Walls are all dressed with woods and Japanese silk. Oriental touches are matched in harmony with the latest technologies in the whole 151 sqm (1,625 sqft). Everything had been made to make you feel at home above one of the busiest Boulevard of the world. Views are fantastic from the lounge area, the eight chairs table and the bedroom. They overlook the electric energy of Las Vegas thanks to floor to ceiling windows while you feel peacefully alone.

Catering
During our stay at the Mandarin Oriental, we tried several restaurants. Arrived during the afternoon, our first choice was the Mozen Bistro. The menu options are around Orient and Occident.
We’ve chosen the club sandwich and the Italian salad with tomatoes and buffala cheese. Everything was fresh and tasty. The club sandwich is served with light fries and refreshing salad. Shown on previous pictures : as we returned to our room, three delicious cakes with prestigious Laurent Perrier Champagne were waiting for us. It was such a nice attention for my birthday.
- Mozen Bistro
- Generous club sandwich
The second day, we booked a table at the Tea Lounge which is very famous for its Mandarin Oriental tea time. And what a refinement! As well as the wonderful Asian decoration, the service and the taste and presentation of salty meals and sweet pastries. Standing at the twenty third floor of the building, close to the upper lobby, it is the unique place in Las Vegas where you can appreciate such delicacy with outstanding view! The mini lemon tarlet with its sugar frozen rose petal is just incredible. This place is not to miss while coming to Las Vegas. Due to its success, booking is highly recommended.
- Sweet pastries
- Cozy lounge
- The tea time
- The beautiful Asian carpet
On the evening, we were at the Twist by Pierre Gagnaire, starred at the Michelin Guide. It is a perfect address to discover or rediscover French cuisine spirit with French and American ingredients.
We appreciated meat and poultry through the choices of Lamb and Chicken. They were served with imaginative vegetables and sorbet. As it was my birthday, a delicate attention was prepared : a very nice nut cake to end this tasty dinner. Beside the cuisine, it is a right place to admire night falling on the Las Vegas Strip.

- Some poultry
We also enjoyed nice room service while admiring the view from our dining room.
Breakfasts are served at the Mozen Bistro or in room. We’ve tried both of the two possibilities. Multiple types are suggested like European, American or Asiatic ones. We’d chose European each time with different sorts of pastries and delicious fresh fruits salad.
- Breakfast at the Mozen Bistro
- Delicious croissants
Activities
During our stay, we’ve booked a helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon. What an impressive experience! The company brought us up at the hotel in a limousine to drive us to the airport. This escape is really worth it. After a 45 minutes flight over the impressive desert land and the Powell Lake, a picnic is organized in the wonderful landscape. On the return, the flight ends over the Srip. Marvelous!
We also enjoyed spa treatments in the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas Spa. As a spa connoisseur, I can confide you that it is one of the best I’ve ever tried. The Mandarin Oriental treatment’s protocol, the dexterity of the therapist, the beauty, the service and the equipment of the Spa… Everything is here for a peaceful experience. The epitome of Asia philosophy at the heart of the Strip !
The swimming pool area of the Mandarin Oriental includes two outdoor pools. Comfortable deck chairs with cushions are placed around. Fresh water and towels are provided. For those who want, cozy cabanas are available.

- Fine Asian details
- Pools cabanas

From the Mandarin Oriental, it is very easy to reach most of the other hotels and casinos, especially the Aria and its high diversity of machines and games, the MGM or the New York New York for example. After those visits, it is a real pleasure to regain the quietness of the MO.
Located in front of the Mandarin Oriental hotel, you can find the nice Crystals City Center where all the most prestigious brands are represented. In this mall, you will find luxury boutiques such as Christian Dior, Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Cartier, Stella MCCartney, Tom Ford or Van Cleef & Arpels…
Conclusion
The Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas is a haven of peace in a stunning environment. Mandarin Oriental signature with luxury, refinement and top service can be found here with the Strip lights as background. It is for sure one of the best hotels in Las Vegas, if not the best.
