We had the nice opportunity to enjoy the Spa at the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas while we had been staying at this hotel. This Spa is really exclusive. It is quite large and never really crowded as there is a fee to get access to it, even if you are staying at the hotel. This kind of detail offers to the place a really quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Here, far, so far from the Vegas agitation, you’ll just contemplate its famous Strip Boulevard. Between ultra-modernity and Asian art de vivre, a meticulous care to detail had been brought to the Mandarin Oriental Spa, as an echo to the rest of the hotel.
The Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas Spa is spreading over two floors with the Spa entrance in the 8th floor (same as the swimming pool and the fitness center). There are 17 treatment rooms (including 7 duo rooms).
Before the treatment, you can access a relaxing area. There is one for the women and one for the men. It includes a locker room and then several different options such as a sauna, a hammam, a laconium, a sensory shower and a vitality pool with Strip view. Materials and equipment used are very luxurious.
There is also a beauty salon and a spa boutique where you can buy luxury products.
Our experience of the Spa in Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
We arrived early at the Spa to make sure that we have enough time to enjoy all the services before the treatment. The journey starts with a tea while seating in comfortable sofas next to the Spa front desk. Then a lady escorts you to your area where the Spa staff will show you all the services available. To be clear, there was more staff than customers and they were really helpful, always watching to see if they could do something to make this journey better.
So we spent around 45 minutes in the Spa area, enjoying each of the service available. I especially enjoyed the sensory shower which has several programs, including a tropical rain shower. It is funny and unusual. Then the laconium is also nice and not so usual. You’ll also like to lie down in the vitality pool while overlooking the Strip.
Once you are done, you can relax in a quiet room where some beds are available to wait before the treatment. Your therapist will come to escort you to your treatment where they will check on your preferences for the massage. I had the oriental essence massage. The duration was 1h00. This massage is set to relax and release the body from the stress.
The oriental essence massage is so relaxing that I felt I would start to sleep several times. The oil perfume has aromachological qualities. The therapist was quite professional and made it right for me to really have a relaxing experience here.
