How about meeting up in the afternoon to have a tea in one of the most exclusive hotels within Paris? Located in the prestigious Triangle d’Or of Paris, on the George V avenue, only two steps from the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées avenue, the Prince de Galles is the place to be!
Be it sunny or rainy, two atmospheres are available to you, with a sumptuous Art Deco background as common factor and the same outstanding service. Whether you are comfortably seated at the Bar Les Heures or in Le Patio, the setting is perfect for extended discussions or just site contemplation. Yes, we felt in love with this luxury property, because it is superb, unique and intimate.
To come back to our experience, we have decided to have the tea in Le Patio. It is the hotel inner courtyard perfectly renovated with its famous period mosaic all over its façade and columns. Several sofas are available between the shrubs and the palm trees, the shaded arcades or the teak wood terrace. It is a real haven of peace, out of time, nestled inside the most beautiful area of Paris.
We decided to select the English tea time. It is an assortment of salty and sweet light meals together with the tea. As those are prepared upon request, they couldn’t be fresher. We especially enjoyed the revisited toasted sandwich with its snail shape (unbelievable), the green lemon meringue pie with its short crust pastry, the chocolate mousse under its dome and the variety of cakes with the lemon one and its preserved quarter. Delicious! This is a nice opportunity to discover the meals prepared by the talented Executive Chef Stéphanie Le Quellec and the Pastry Chef Yann Couvreur.
Refinement is also in the details with jam and honey jars branded with the Prince de Galles that come with the scones, homemade sweets and dishes specially made for the hotel.
As you will have realized, in addition to be an outstanding 5 star hotel, the Prince de Galles is also a first class location for Parisians and tourists looking to meet in a chic and historical environment in the Triangle d’Or.
