The New York – New York hotel is located on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, between the Monte Carlo and the Excalibur hotels. It is owned by the MGM resorts group. Its architecture is based on New York city architecture.
It includes a 46 m (150 ft) tall replica of the Statue of Liberty. Also, some towers are echoing the original design of the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building.
The New York – New York hotel includes 2,024 guest rooms and suites with granite or marble bathrooms.
This hotel is also famous for its roller coaster (formerly known as Manhattan Express). It goes inside and outside the New York – New York hotel and reaches the maximum speed of 108 Km/h (67 mph) with a maximum drop of 44 m (145 ft). The hotel also has a swimming pool, a spa and several shops. Several restaurants delivering New York and international cuisines are available inside the hotel.
The casino of the New York – New York hotel is 7,800 sqm (84,000 sqft) large with more than 1,500 slot machines. It is part of the MLife program. For meetings and events, several rooms are available with up to 550 guests that can participate in the largest ballroom.
The Zumanity show by Cirque du Soleil can be seen at the New York – New York hotel and one of the permanent shows available in Las Vegas.
