If you are looking for a romantic dinner in a chic restaurant in Paris, La Table du Baltimore is the perfect place. Blond woods and mirror adorned walls, contemporary furniture and crystal chandeliers with subdued light create a lending to exclusive dinner decor.
La Table du Baltimore restaurant is located within the heart of the elegant 16th area of Paris, in the Baltimore Paris hotel (MGallery collection), avenue Kléber, between the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower.
In a setting of signed porcelain tableware, crystal glasses and white table clothes, the restaurant serves a French traditional gastronomic cuisine punctuated with audacious and inventive touches. In addition to the starters, 4 fishes and 4 meats are suggested on the menu. Fishes like meats are cooked according to the state of the art.
This evening, we had the pleasure to savor a tuna and cress verrine as amuse-bouche. Forget any preconceived notion you may have about the result! The finesse in palate with texture and flavor is surprising. What a lovely way to get oneself in appetite!
To turn to the point of the menu, our main course choices were the Sea Bass and the Sole in Meunière way. The sea bass is cooked with citronella, accompanied with orange braised endives hearts and topped with fine red onions strips. The citrus taste subtly enhances the fish tenderness.
The Sole, Meunière fashion, is revisited in algae and pepper butter joined with salt flower potatoes. First presented entire, then fillets are removed immediately.
To finish in style, the desserts were also a collection of surprises. The Pineapple is presented in multiple fashions : fresh, marinated, as a sorbet melted with coconuts and topped by a large and thin tile. A pure delight!
The Citrus is shown in all its forms as a light cream with combava, a sort of little lemon frequently used in the South East cuisine, and little cookies, topped with a lemon-basil sorbet, surrounded by clementine slices. Light, acidulous, fresh… in one word : perfect!
At the end of the dinner, homemade sweets are offered to the guests. It was the opportunity to taste fruit paste, chocolate fudge and coconut marshmallow.
We had a really nice evening at the restaurant La Table du Baltimore, both for the luxurious atmosphere and for the refinement and the generosity of the cuisine of the Chef Jean-Philippe Pérol and his team.
Not only a charming 5 star hotel, the Baltimore Paris is also a warm place where people can meet. Whether you are at the bar or in the multiple cozy area of the lobby, comfortable velvet sofas will welcome you to relax.
