The Spa 5 Mondes is one of the multiple luxurious spas in the principality of Monaco with also La Prairie Spa at the Monte-Carlo Beach hotel and the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo directly reachable from the Hermitage hotel. Our experience of the Cinq Mondes Spa in Monte-Carlo Bay

In order to take advantage of the spa and the hammam and to benefit from their ability to prepare the body for the treatment, we recommend to be there at least 30 minutes before the planned treatment time. Its efficiency will then be maximized. You will also enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Cinq Mondes Spa while having a tea prepared from the large selection available there. The rest room is a place where you will like to relax before and after your treatment.

The range of treatments available at the Spa 5 Mondes is pretty wide with multiple rituals, body treatments (slimming treatment, anti-age treatment, …) and face treatments, Ayurveda massage, energizing massage or soothing massage, etc… All the senses are awakened.

We have tried the Royal ritual from Siam in one of the spa suites. The overall ritual lasts 1h50. It includes 3 stages based on an ancestral tradition :

• A Japanese bath with aromas and flowers
• A polishing “Papaya Purée” scrub
• An enveloping traditional Balinese massage

The good thing about the suite is that you really share the experience with your beloved. It was really nice to enjoy this very special time together. There is a large shower inside the suite so you can rinse yourself between the multiple stages.

The sensory journey related to this treatment starts with the Japanese bath experience. It is a full wood bathtub, large enough to welcome two guests. It is made of wood to keep the water heat. The water is pleasantly perfumed with Cinq Mondes oil (that you can order after the treatment from the Cinq Mondes shop). Some flowers petals are added during the bath. A neck and shoulders massage is practiced to begin the relaxation. In order to soften the skin, it is recommended to stay enough time in the bath. To perfect this relaxation time, teas and dried fruits were offered to us.

Then after that, an exfoliating body scrub with Papaya Puree will allow to prepare the skin for the final massage. This exfoliating body scrub is exotic and really efficient. The skin was really soft and bright at the end.

Last but not least, the Balinese massage was a pure time of delight and relaxation. We really enjoyed it, while our mind was traveling with the island musical theme.

Overall, the 3 stages ritual is a good idea. It allows to enjoy a long spa treatment. After it, we felt relaxed for few weeks. The suite advantage is the opportunity to share this treatment with your beloved in a private area. We felt as if we were in a cocoon. It was a really special experience to share this treatment together.
