This Sunday, we have been invited to discover the new brunch of the Renaissance Paris Hippodrome de St Cloud hotel. It was the perfect opportunity to enjoy a sunny day over Paris area. With more than 25°C in October, we were really delighted to share a brunch in the green setting of this recently opened hotel, next to the Hippodrome de St Cloud (horse track).
The hotel decoration is based on the world of horses and also echoes the Anglo-Norman style with its half-timbered architecture. The Renaissance Paris Saint Cloud is an extension of the Paris Country Club, a famous private leisure club.
The brunch can be taken inside in a nicely decorated dining room or outside on the terrace next to the hotel heated swimming pool. We decided to have our brunch outside as the sun was really shining!
Now, let’s take a look at the salty options! We had some foie gras, smoked salmon, taramasalata, tomatoes with mozzarella, prawns, Japanese maki, stuffed peppers and some paté. All those were fresh and tasty. Also available were some sea food (crayfish, shellfish, etc…), cold cut and different kind of salads.
After the starters, we had some good tender veal. It was also possible to have some salmon and meat cooked on plancha in front of you. A lot of brunch classic dishes were available such as scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, etc…
Then after that, we had a nice assortment of cheeses. There was different kind of breads available. Took one made with cereals that was really perfect and fresh to eat with the cheese.
If you still have some room after this, a full range of desserts are available. We tried the macaroons, the chocolate mousse, the rum baba and the apple tart. All were fresh and tasty. Others options available are the floating island, thick pancakes and several kinds of tarts.
A perfect brunch in a green area next to Paris
If you want to leave Paris without spending too much time on the road, the brunch of the Renaissance Paris Saint Cloud is a good choice. It is only 15 minutes driving distance from Porte Maillot and the Champs Elysées (west side of Paris). So it allows leaving the city and quickly enjoying a green area.
We enjoyed having a brunch on the terrace and the generous buffets that includes a lot of options to delight all the guests. From maki to foie gras, smoked salmon to macaroons, everyone will find something that he likes there.
