We had the opportunity to enjoy a dinner at Le First restaurant boudoir. This restaurant is located inside the Westin Paris Vendôme hotel. As its name suggests it, the Westin Paris Vendôme is next to the famous Vendôme square in Paris, at the corner of the Rivoli and Castiglione streets, close to the Rue Saint Honoré and all its luxurious stores. From the windows, guests can enjoy a nice view over the Tuileries garden.
After a short walk in the finely decorated corridors surrounding the nice historical courtyard, we reached the First restaurant. The first feeling is that the place is really felted and cozy.
After a warm welcome, we were directed to our table, next to the windows opening on the Rivoli street and the Tuileries garden. Le First restaurant boudoir decoration is really refined, with purple, golden and black tones, soft lights and comfortable chairs and sofas.
We decided to select a First cheeseburger with its French fries and salad and the Scallop from Dieppe, baby spinach with mango.
The Cheeseburger is a menu classic that has to be on the menu of every hotel looking to delight international guests. It is well executed here. The meat was good with an appealing presentation.
The Scallop from Dieppe is definitely something to try. They were really well cooked. Scallop cooking isn’t something easy as it can kill the taste and the texture if it isn’t properly done. Here it was perfectly handled. Everything was preserved thus making this dish a very good one!
We were happily surprised with the desserts. Those were really appealing. The Mango baba with coco and passion fruit is a revisited classic of French pastry. It isn’t really usual to see a baba with exotic flavors. Purists would even say that it is a bit risky. But here, the result is really good!
We also tried the blood orange crusty profiterole with crystallized sorbet. It is again a pastry classic revisited with success. As you can see on the picture, the look is audacious and we have been delighted with the texture and the fine nectarine taste of this dessert : a must try!
We had a very nice dinner at the Westin Paris Vendôme. Le First restaurant boudoir is a felted and elegant place we have discovered on that evening and where we would be happy to come back to for another romantic dinner in a warm atmosphere with a softened light.
