We had the nice opportunity to discover the Bar of the hotel Le Belmont in Paris. Here, forget directly your preconceived ideas about trendy bars in Paris. You’ll get there to have a drink and you’ll stay there for the charm of the place. It is a highly exclusive place, only two steps from the Champs Elysées, in a very quiet environment, far from the tourist bustle of the nearby area.
I like this contrast, the idea that you can find a bar as charming as exclusive while being just next to the Arc de Triomphe where thousands of tourists are looking for Paris classics.

Le Belmont has been fully renovated in 2014 and this can be seen straight away. The hotel decoration is a true success, made of a classical charm that we really enjoy with discrete touch of modernity, especially in the chandeliers and the mirror effects.
It is now time to have a drink at the Belmont Bar. The place is warm and exclusive. Around the main sofa, you can see few customers of the hotel enjoying the relaxing atmosphere with a cocktail or a cup of Champagne. You’ll then sit into one of the comfortable leather or velvet armchairs. The place is really cozy and refined. The woodwork, the luxurious furniture, the soft lighting, everything was set to make you feel pampered.
As an echo to the decoration, the welcome was warm and friendly. We immediately felt good there. There, no need to think during 10 minutes about the cocktail you will take, just let Alexandre, Chef Barman of Le Belmont hotel, guide you. His know how is only limited by its infinite imagination. Just tell him what you like and he will create a custom cocktail, set according to your taste.

As you would have guessed, here, we are more in the Haute Couture than in the ready to wear. But the prices aren’t really the expensive ones you could find on the Champs Elysées. The cocktail costs less than 20 € (16 € to be accurate), yes you read it right. Here, the customer isn’t a cash machine, it is a guest that is welcomed with the smile, as a new friend.
Since you are already off the beaten path while coming to a Bar outside of the Champs Elysées, move on this royal road. Forget the about the mojitos and Pina Colada, tonight, this is the adventure! Let yourself be tempted by the charm of uncertainty. Alexandre has in his bar more tricks than you can imagine to surprise you. Here, everything is rare and upscale, from the Champagne to the fruit juices (Alain Milliat for the connoisseurs) and the spirits to the Paris beer.
Alexandre now prepares in front of you the cocktail of your dreams, with or without alcohol. Having given him carte blanche, he offered to prepare one of his creations, El Belmont, based on Tequila. The taste is a must, long and expressive in mouth with multiple aromas. But be careful, don’t expect to drive after that, be prepared to stay a bit at the bar to recover from your emotion!
