The Mirage is a Las Vegas resort located on the Strip. The Mirage was opened in 1989 by Steve Wynn. The Mirage is well known for its artificial volcano which erupts every night. Gold dust was used to tint the Mirage windows, thus giving the hotel its very specific overall coloration. The Mirage was set around the tropical theme.
In terms of location, the Mirage is on the left side of the Strip, between the Caesars Palace and the Treasure Island resorts. It is also facing the Venetian.
While checking in, you can see the huge salt water aquarium behind the front desk. It is the home for more than 450 fishes. Guests can see white tigers, lions, black panther, leopards and dolphins at Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat.
The Mirage has 3,044 rooms and suites spreading over 30 floors. Also, some villas are available, they include several bedrooms, a private swimming pool and a putting green.
The Mirage casino is 9,300 sqm (100,000 sqft) large with more than 2,500 slots play. It is a MLife casino. The Mirage swimming pool is open and heated round the year. Some cabanas can be rented for extra comfort and service.
