It is in April 2012 that the Palais Namaskar has opened its doors in Marrakech. It joined the famous Oetker Collection that also includes others jewels such as Le Bristol in Paris or the Château Saint-Martin & Spa in Vence. The Palais Namaskar has been built following the Feng Shui principles and decorated in oriental style by Imaad Rhamouni, franco-algerian designer, together with Philippe Starck.
The Palais Namaskar rises between the hills of Djebilet and the Atlas mountains. It is 25 minutes from the famous square Jemaa el-Fna of Marrakech where we can meet snake charmers and street vendors. Golf enthusiasts could enjoy several golf courses only few minutes from the Palais.
The Palais Namaskar has 41 guest rooms, suites and villas. The rooms extend over 44 sqm (474 sqft) and also benefit from a 90 sqm (970 sqft) large terrace with a heated jacuzzi. The suites have an area ranging from 90 to 180 sqm (970 to 1,940 sqft) and enjoy a pool or a jacuzzi on the terrace. The pool villas occupy 127 sqm (1,370 sqft) and a private garden of 500 sqm (5,380 sqft) with a pool and heated swimming pool. The Villa Namaskar, and its 487 sqm (5,240 sqft) of refined and luxurious interiors, also have a large garden of 1,200 sqm (12,900 sqft) with its pool and swimming pool.
For an incredible experience, three palaces are available for you : the Pool Palace, the Mountain Palace and the Water Palace. The Pool Palace extends over 210 sqm (2,260 sqft) of interiors and 600 sqm (6,450 sqft) of gardens with a swimming pool. The Mountain Palace and its royal atmosphere offer 460 sqm (4,950 sqft) of space. Then, the Water Palace and its 460 sqm (4,950 sqft), has an outstanding view over the Atlas and a 2.000 sqm (21,530 sqft) garden with a swimming pool.
The Palais Namaskar catering is headed by Executive Chef Antoine Perray. After having worked at the Crillon and the Plaza Athénée, in particular with Alain Ducasse, he has joined the Palais Namaskar for the opening in April 2012.
Several options are available to eat at the Palais Namaskar :
- Le Namaskar : in a chic atmosphere, the gastronomic restaurant offers a menu of French classics with Morocco touches.
- Le Sawadee : Thai restaurant orchestrated by the Chef Kiewsri Sasitorn.
- La Table d’Antoine : for the lunch, a refreshing break in the heart of the Palm Grove with a season menu based on products from the hotel kitchen garden.
- L’Espace T : tea room where you can taste delicate pastries.
- No Mad Bar : with an outstanding view over the Palm Grove, this bar offers cocktails and Japanese classics (sushi, maki, …)
The Saturday, the Palais Namaskar organizes a fashion brunch and on Sunday, the guests can meet around the swimming pool for a garden party.
The Spa Namaskar offers a large selection of body treatments based on Feng Shui principles. Products used for the treatments are from the Ila brand. Over 650 sqm (7,000 sqft), several single and duo cabins are proposed to enjoy a moment of relaxation. Massage service can also be delivered directly within the villas.
Beside the Spa, a fitness center is available for guests to practice fitness but also yoga and meditation.
