On a sunny Sunday afternoon, we were looking for a chic charming place to have a tea time on a terrace. Our choice of the day was for Le Bristol hotel.
Le Bristol belongs to the exclusive circle of Parisian palaces. It is located on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, next to the Palais de l’Elysée. Once you cross the doors, everything is about luxury, refinement and authenticity. Each is tempted to stop in front of the period tapestries, crystal chandeliers, coppers and marbles.
In the heart of Le Bristol, its terrace, le Jardin Français, is a real haven of peace. It is surrounded by lawn, smalls hedges perfectly shaped, flowers such as pansies or geraniums and trees. Here, you can forget Paris with the sound of the fountain.
We decided to share a full tea formula and to add to it a second hot drink. This full tea formula consists of salty and sweet delicacies that are all really tasty. We can find here several kinds of small sandwiches, dessert miniatures such as raspberry pie, lemon pie, choux pastry and financier but also a generous fritter filled with vanilla cream, canelé and brownie. These delicacies are available with a diverse selection of teas. All is served with a fine porcelain dish. This was a real delight, both for the palate and the eyes.
We had a really good time far beyond our expectations, not only for the quality and taste of the full tea but also for the outstanding setting. Le Jardin Français being a valued place once the sun is shining over Paris, we highly recommend you to book a table, during the week end but also on week days. You have to know that you can also enjoy the tea time within the superb setting of the palace bar.
